Visibility and Humanization
Opt In | Ep. 31
What’s the goal of sales development?
Book meetings? Qualify prospects? Clean data?
To borrow a quote from Chris Beall, we think the goal is to pave the market with trust.
That means exchanging value and insight to pique a prospect’s curiosity, understanding whether you can help them or not, and recommending the best next steps.
Building trust in a short amount of time is hard.
And a lot of reps make it even harder on themselves through a lack of visibility and humanization.
In today’s Opt In, AJ and Alex dive into a few examples of SDRs who (metaphorically) shoot themselves in the foot with their robotic outreach, lack of online visibility, and overall lackluster personality.
Remember – people buy from people. You could have the greatest solution in the world, but if you don’t care and your outreach lacks effort & detail, it won’t matter.
Opt In to being a visible and engaging presence – not a robot with a name.
