restor3D is a pioneer in orthopedic solutions, leveraging cutting-edge 3D printing technology to create highly personalized implants and surgical tools for knee, hip, spine, foot, and ankle care.
Following their acquisition of Conformis, restor3D needed to integrate Conformis’ product offerings into their portfolio while phasing out the Conformis name. The new website had to:
- Showcase restor3D’s leadership in orthopedic innovation through modern, user-centric design.
- Serve diverse audiences, including healthcare professionals, patients, and shareholders.
- Provide intuitive navigation and tailored user journeys to enhance product discovery and education.
- Include advanced analytics to track user behavior and support data-driven growth.
The project was an evolution of an established partnership, requiring the consolidation of legacy content, new product offerings, and a unified brand identity.
Information Architecture
Setting the course with strategic planning
We began by rethinking the site’s Information Architecture (IA) to unify the offerings of both Conformis and restor3D under a single cohesive brand. The goal was to create intuitive user journeys for distinct audiences, including healthcare professionals and patients, while ensuring product exploration felt seamless and accessible.
We made it happen by supporting both paid and organic growth strategies that would speak to each brand’s unique values, while at the same time guiding audiences deeper into critical website content and valuable site sections to highlight key messaging and drive a more robust digital experience.
High-Fidelity Wireframes
Taking a close look through UX design
To bring the IA to life, we developed high-fidelity wireframes that visualized the site’s structure and navigation in detail. These wireframes ensured alignment with restor3D’s team, eliminating surprises as the project transitioned from UX to visual design. The wireframes also focused on creating a clear distinction between patient-focused and physician-focused content, streamlining access to relevant information.
