SDR <> Manager Alignment

5 Questions with Matt & Craig

🤝

demandDrive’s own Matt Berman, Sr. SDR & Team Lead, and Craig Ferrara, Director of Client Operations, sit down with the UNSUBSCRIBE team to talk about alignment.

Matt and Craig show that there’s a lot to be gained from a well-aligned team – not just during a pandemic, but when things are “normal” as well. Teams that communicate regularly AND effectively are going to outperform those that don’t.

We dive into what it means to be a well-aligned team, how to get there (from both the SDR and Manager’s POV), and what the future is going to look like.

The Questions 👇

  1. Craig, I’ll start with you, how has your management style changed when we started working from home?
  2. Matt is in a unique position where he doesn’t know anything but the life we live in now – remote work/management. Do you think that your development would be any different if you started in an office vs. remotely? What do you suspect you’re missing compared to someone who started a few months before you?
  3. Is there a benefit to our current WFH environment (in relation to your relationship) that you wouldn’t have tried/seen if we were in the office?
  4. We often look at the management layer as the ‘glue’ for a team, but you both know first hand that the SDR function can help create a cohesive unit. Matt – how are you accomplishing that? And Craig – how are you encouraging/empowering that?
  5. So we know what SDR <> Manager alignment used to look like…and we know what it looks like now…but I want to look ahead at the future. What do you guys think your relationship (and all SDR <> Manager relationships) will look like in the future?
